We now pay £4-50 per gallon of petrol.

I remember paying four shillings and sixpence for a gallon of petrol and groaning at the cost.

If anyone had told me what would happen to the price of petrol back in those days, I would not have sold my horse.

Do we ever stop and wonder how it is, that petrol, instead of getting cheaper as more and more is sold, which is the general rule, in the physical universe; petrol does the very opposite.

Listen to all the reasons given for this hype in the price of petrol. Ask yourself whether, when petrol was four shillings and sixpence a gallon and you complained at the price of petrol rising to ten pence per litre and you were told it would rise to £1 per litre, because of all those reasons, you would have said "rubbish, the world would have to go mad, for that to happen". The world has gone mad.

Wisdom and madness are rather different. With wisdom, in use by leadership in the world, it would be a very different place.

Therefore we are perfectly safe is saying the world's leaders, including our own, have been psychotic.

If only we could see the truth of that statement we would not tolerate some of their more obvious acts of folly, which we have justified by saying, we cannot know everything, leave it to the Experts.

Let us assume that the inhabitants of territory, the natives of a country, should have some benefit of their birthright and share in the natural resources of their homeland.

If we believe it is right to conserve the ecology of that territory, we must surely value human life, highest of all resources. We should not indulge in genocide, so as to grab most of those resources for ourselves. We do not even belong there, other than as guests.

What we find in reality, is territory with wealth beyond man's wildest dreams, lying below its surface, being literally stolen from the natives, and corrupt or psychotic leaders aiding and abetting the thieves.

With the peoples of Earth floundering in their inability to understand money, it is almost inevitable that some natural resource would be used as a symbol of money or even as a substitute for money. Gold was a good example and a fat lot of good the natives of Africa got out of the gold in their territory.

Oil is another commodity used as a substitute for money. The natives are never allowed to prosper. Because their leaders cannot understand money, their leaders cannot understand a substitute for money even less. As a result the whole world is held to ransom by a few oil moguls who become a disgrace to the human race.

We pay for their palaces etc at our petrol pumps. We also pay the fat cats of our own administration with ridiculous levels of taxation. The natives live in abject poverty.

If Fair Trading existed and the ordinary people like you and I, the natives of a country or territory, that had oil to be used for the benefit of the whole of mankind, we should see poverty vanish and insane leaders given asylum.

If we want to get serious concerning the price of petrol, then we need to get to know and understand money and reintroduce Fair Trading.

If fair trading existed in the world today, it would be possible to calculate that the price of petrol could be and should be about five bob a gallon.

That would be a fairly reasonable return for the natives of those countries who will live on the natural resource of oil as their main means of survival.

Because Monetary Reform will give you petrol at a reasonable price, help me to go for it.
