Electronic books (or ebooks as they are commonly called) aren't expensive to make,and they are extremely easy to publish.

In fact if you have been a subscriber my first articles tells you how to publish one for free.

The reason they can make such great v-marketing tools is that they are so easy to copy.

You have two marketing options. You can either sell it, as you would do a physical book... or you can give it away I preffer to give. This is were my blessing come in.

A ebook is going to receive far greater exposure if people can download and rebrand it.

In other words, you're offering financial incentives for them to give your book away to others, without having to spend a penny yourself!

Another reason viralmarketing is some sites probably wouldn't be able to cope with a million downloads - they would exceed their file transfer allowance!

Viral marketing (or V-marketing) is the term used to des- cribe any method of marketing that spreads your message in the manner of a virus.

Viral marketing can be used in just about every aspect of your business in the real world and on the Internet, from generating traffic to your site and subscribers to your newsletter.

Viral marketing can be used to make sales and acquiring new customers; and it can be used whenever you want to spread a message to as many people as possible

The five essential factors in a successful viral marketing campaign are:

(1) You need good carriers. The ideal carriers will pass on your message quickly and to large numbers of people.

(2) You need the right spreading mechanisms. These mechanisms might include email, links or word-of-mouth, depending on the nature of your campaign.

(3) You need to provide the right incentives to your carriers for them to pass your message on.

(4) You must make it as easy as possible for your carriers to share your message by providing the right tools.

(5) You need to seek out lots of confined spaces, i.e. communities, groups and networks that will enable your viral message to spread faster.

It doesn't matter what medium we use, whether it's word- of-mouth or email... it's about what happens to our market- ing message when we tell others. If they pass it on to yet more people, then it's viral marketing

Give them permission to copy it, give it to their friends,do pretty much anything they like with it... as long as they don't change the wording or the actual program itself. In fact, You have my permission... to give it away!

I'm going to classify affiliate marketing as a subset of viral marketing for the purpose of this ebook, and see how we can use what we've learned so far to improve our own af- filiate schemes

In writing I will associate Viral Marketing With Affiliate Marketing

Definition: An affiliate scheme is a program where you offer people who join your scheme (the affiliates) a com- mission or bonus for promoting your site - usually in the form of a percentage of the sales revenue you earn.

In the language of viral marketing, we could say that the incentive is the affiliate commission, and the viral loop element is usually a page on your site which encourages your visitors to become affiliates

This is, in my opinion, one of the principle reasons why an affiliate scheme has been so successful. Most of the affiliates will be thinking along these lines: OK, I don't have a good traffic idea at the moment.

Maybe; my subscribers and site visitors do... so why not encourage them to sign up to Trafficology, and let them know about the prize money on offer. I'll be doing them a favor if any of them win, and... if any of them *do* win, *I'll* receive the same amount of money as well!
