WORDS THAT INSPIRE A monthly quick shot to motivate you, in less than 45 seconds, from Julie Cohen Coaching

What CHOICE do you want to make?

Dictionary*says: the act of choosing, power of choosing, a person or thing chosen, the best part, care in selecting.

What it REALLY means: making a commitment to what matters to you; acting on your priorities and your values; expressing to yourself and to others what you want and need in your life.

Why it MATTERS? CHOICE moves you from stuck into action; from uncertainty to decision. CHOICE gives you freedom from ‘what should I do?’

Questions that INSPIRE: • What CHOICE do you want to make? • What is preventing you from making a CHOICE? What would simplify this CHOICE? • What would it feel like if you already made the right CHOICE for you? • What are your values and priorities that influence this CHOICE? • What can you do today to act on this CHOICE?

I would love to hear your answers and comments. Take 45 seconds to reply and I will share ideas and actions (with all identifying information removed!) in a future quick shot.

PASSION Update • What is your PASSION? What action, belief, vision or object excites and interests you? o working with people and helping them to realize how much control they have over their thoughts and their lives. o an inspirational guide, teacher, mentor, sunsets o doing what ever makes me feel like I'm having fun, going to the movies, going to auctions, out with friends. o help people have meaningful moments! This usually means finding their strengths and celebrating them at work and in life. o Cities, performing, change, food, coaching, travel, creating!! o People, shopping, shelties, love and being loved, doing a great job at something and getting appreciated in some small way o working for social justice and happiness -- both in the world and in my family. o skiing/teaching skiing; I believe that I can share my passion with everybody that I ski with; I can see that everybody that I ski with teaches me something about skiing. • What would it feel like if this PASSION was a part of your life every day? o enjoy breathing in the moment vs rushing though the feelings and thoughts. o I would feel more joy and drive. Those moments when I do feel such passion I am almost impermeable to negative thoughts and insecurities. • What one step can you take today which will make your PASSION more a part of your life or your work? o Be grateful. Gratefulness is critical because it forces us to stop, think, and appreciate what we have and not what we don't have. o I look forward to getting up in the morning. I usually wake before my alarm clock. I enjoy being a lifetime learner.
