Remember the song by Mark Knophfler, and his band "Dire Straights" with the lyrics, "Money for nothing, and your chicks for free".
Well it reminds me of the *newbie* Internet marketer. Just like in the video of the song where the two furniture movers (representing us people who work at a JOB for a living )are watching a rock star in a video as they are busting their behinds working.
They are saying to themselves, "I shoulda learned to play the guitar, I shoulda learned to play them drums etc."
I can also hear the "newbie" online marketer saying something similar, "I shoulda learned to put a business plan together. I shoulda learned some business management/marketing skills etc."
Most sane people know money doesn't grow on trees, and you don't get it for free ( unless of course you have a rich relative that happens to give you a big chunk of his/her fortune after they "kick the bucket" ), but that's what a lot of people trying to market some widget online think it should be.
In other words, success without the "SKILL SET". Let me elaborate (not too much though since it should be a no brainer), matter of fact, let me ask you this question, and it should be obvious:
Would you be successful at your current job position, without the skill set to perform it?
Of course not, right?
You also would probably think it was ludicrous to think someone could come off the street, and do your job with very little knowledge, and training in what you do, and do it better than you do that very same day.
Crazy I know, but "get rich quick", is just too good a thought, which translates into some very powerful feelings (similar to mind altering drugs) that are hard for many "newbies" to let go of.
Something to think about hard if you're hacking away trying to make a mere pittance online.
Any way... that's my two cents as usual... Oh, but I can hear you saying, "What the heck is the FREE Hits part all about?"
